Re: 2010 soundpack

I'm not an expert in putting together audio files but I am aware of what a stock car sounds like. Milan your 2009MNES is hands down one of THE best most realistic soundpacks I've heard in 8 years of playing. You should continue to work on that. The exterior needs some work, and the interior seems to cut out at times (left/right muff of headset loses engine sound during acceleration at certain times).

I think using Kevin Harvicks Pure Michigan onboard was a great idea in the concept of cutting out the ACTUAL audio rather than giving the best effort to recreate it. Thus it certainly boosted the realism - which is what I think some of your work has lacked..it's more personal touches.

As a downloader of your, more so 'realistic' soundpacks (MNESSrintCup from November 2015 and MNES2009), I believe continue working with the MNES2009 and Harvick's Pure Michigan 400 .wav's, along with having better exterior sounds, and I know for a fact, if realism is what you're wanting to accomplish, it will be the best ever made. Awesome work so far.

Re: 2010 soundpack

nice analysis of my recent work...my first soundpack is from 2013 january and after that ive tried to simulate v8 sound and incorporate that in nr2003 sound engine. Sometimes it worked sometimes didnt.
I agree that using original sounds from race is the most realistic but sometimes nr2003 doesnt give best result.

Re: 2010 soundpack

I've been a supporter of Milan and his sound packs for a long time. He's always tweaking and learning new things in his quest to create the perfect engine sounds for NR2003. It is unbelievably difficult and complicated to do given the limitations of this 13 year old sim.

I have sometimes found that the sounds in Milan's videos can be better than what they end up sounding like when I install them into my game. The reason for this, I believe, is the fact that Milan has said that he uses the sound.dat file from NR2002 rather than NR2003. I have tried putting the sound.dat file from NR2002 into NR2003, but it causes a CTD. So I end up either using his new engine .wav files with the NR2003 sound.dat or simply not using them at all, but I can tell you that they do not sound the same using the NR2003 dat as they do in your videos.

Milan, I would suggest that in the future perhaps posting a "complete" sound.dat file for your sound packs rather than just the loose .wav files of the new engine sounds. Maybe that way we can get to experience "exactly" the same results you are hearing. (Probably you don't need to include the "spcc" folder packed in these dats as people likely have their own preferred spotter packs that they like to use).

Just an observation and suggestion, my friend. Thanks for all your efforts improve the enjoyment of this awesome sim. emoticon
