Lebanon Valley V2 AI

Can somebody PLEASE fix the race lp. The AI slam on the brakes at the start/finish line. I've been trying to fix this but I still can't get it right. Thanks in advance!

The only way to "fix it" is to create a new race.lp.
Reflap (NR2003 lp Creation Tool) "How To"

... and then you'll more than likely need to adjust the ai laptimes (speed).

Good for you, that's how you get things done correctly, not all track creators are up to the task.

and then you need to go into the ini and adjust all those factors that affect it too.

Ain't track editing fun?

AND another problem! At the start of a race about the last 4 -6 cars on the inside line head straight for the inside wall and jam up. With a full field the leaders are on them in no time. I've looked at the max race line and it looks all right. I'm not sure what's causing the problem.

I experienced many more cars on the inside row heading left on the start of the pace lap.
Grid positions 5 - 23 (starting_grid - stall_4 - 22) and grid positions 33 - 41 (starting_grid - stall_32 - 40 when I was position 43).

I think this is a short track phenomena and the ai path is being influenced by the track centerline, even though the ptf centerline distance is slightly longer than a 1/2 mile.

Fix:
Replace the starting_grid coordinates.
For stall_(even #'s) = xxx.xx 0.xx 0.00, replace the dlat value (0.xx) zero with -1.
For stall_(odd #'s) = xxx.xx -2.xx 0.00, replace the dlat value (-2.xx) -2 with -5.

On the pace lap (and caution laps), one line of the ai (mostly) follow the minrace.lp or maxrace.lp, whichever is closest to the race.lp. Depending on which lp is closest to the race.lp, the other (pacing) line will run about 3m-4m to the right or left. [If the minrace.lp is closest to the race.lp, the other pacing line will be 3m-4m to the left of the minrace.lp. If the maxrace.lp is closest to the race.lp, the other pacing line will be 3m-4m to the right of the maxrace.lp.]

If you want to avoid the ai beginning the pace lap by making an exaggerated turn left or right, set the starting_grid dlat coordinates to position the cars on the (minrace/maxrace) lp that is closest to the race.lp. Locate the other line 4m toward the other lp (minrace or maxrace).
