Just wanted to say Hi-a windy city member from the past

Want to say Hello,
Used to race with the WCR team many years ago when we raced in a few Nascar 2003 leagues on the Sierra servers.

Was wondering if the team members are still around. I am also the the one who tried creating the Meadowdale track long ago. This track was located near Elgin. Was going good until I found out that looping around with the track the scenery caused FPS hits. I have the Nascar2003 now loaded on Windows 7 today, so I will try running the Meadowdale track again. I dont think I have the track design anymore, if I do, it is buried somewhere on a disk. Cool trying to design a track though.

For kicks and grins planning on joining Iracing and give it try. Be starting at the bottom with ratings again.

So take care and hope all is well with my fellow teammates of the past WCR,

Dave Thayer

Hi Dave.

Didn't I try, semi-unsuccessfully - to do the AI for Meadowlands? I sure remember running it a lot.

Dang....... I gotta get a wheel reinstalled on this machine. Got my old W98 computers up and running to run the older games, but lost one wheel, so I don't have 3 anymore.

Hi Scott and Steve,

Glad to hear from both of you. I'm over on the Mod Squad website talking to Dave O off and on and getting stuff also for NASCAR Heat. I told him I dont remember ever seeing that game.

Yeah its been a long time since I have done Sim racing. I got the urge to practice and race again either with AI or online.

Scott, I remember coming to your house and racing NASCAR all afternoon. Miss the Sierra leagues. Thinking about Iracing, but there is so much arguing between drivers, strict rules, and the cost. May give a go next winter for 1 month to see if it is for me.

Have Nascar2003 installed again on a Windows 7 machine and getting all the great tracks that are available now. Scott, I didn't know you had done that many tracks for Nascar2003 and many of them are huge tracks. Great job. Remember racing Basslake. I want to install the GT and Indy Mod for the NASCAR 2003 game.

Last, I am also on Steam gaming and have several of the somewhat newer racing games. I tried to find the ones that have the most Mods out for right now.

Steve, yeah, I think you did help a little with Meadowdale track. With the XP computers back then the track FPS was pretty intense. But on Windows 7 the Meadowdale track works pretty good.

Both of you take care,
Dave Thayer
