camera flashes

So I was racing Night Oxford Plains and saw that there were camera flashes. A VERY cool and very nice touch!

Could this be added to existing night tracks like Daytona, Bristol, Charlotte, etc? I speak of pre-made tracks that already exist?

If i understand how that is done, its an animation to the 3do. Not sure however if the flashes are set on to the stand or, an other object put over the crowd.

If it is the latter, it could be added some what easily.

Re: camera flashes

Yeah they're an animated 3do that's tied into the caution switch, so they flash more when the caution is out.

The ones in Oxford were iirc the flashes from Kentucky, it was just luck that they lined up correctly, that is the main issue with them, getting them lined up otherwise they look cack.

You have to place each individual flash just slightly infront of the 3d crowd, then break some rules in the PSG to get them to behave properly, each flash is a poly, so too many and it'll drag things down.

Took me 4 days to place all the flashes in Kentucky, it's not a small job.
