2012 season help

Hey guys,

I have been playing NR2003 and I have thought about doing a single player championship with the 2012 cars and tracks. Has any body made something where I go into championship, Schedule and then "Nascar 2012 Season" Which features the 2012 tracks in season order. If nobody has done this, I am fine if someone has made one for 2011.

Thanks.

Re: 2012 season help

I havent seen anything lately. Try NNRacing, prople always post schedules up there for various series and races.

That, or you can create your own, which i've done.

BTW you'll need all the 2012 tracks. Any version should be ok to use, like Tally 2010 spring and fall tracks for 2012. All the Cup tracks have been released and are available to everyone, so you shouldnt have a problem.

Just note that if you have all the tracks, that the Track selector in single race will only hold up to about 70-75 tracks. If you have 76 tracks, the oldest track will get the boot. So when racing the season, be careful on how many tracks you have.

You WILL repeat races if you do not have the next track on the schedule in game.

If you got an questions, ask away.

Re: 2012 season help

Its simple, really...

Tools:
Note Pad
Internet
NR2K3

Now open your NR2k3 folder. (C:\Program Files\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season)

Select the series folder, and in there will be a file called "all" or "2003 season". If you click on it and it asks for you to select a program with, select Notepad. Open it. Inside you'll see a list, they all look like this:

[ Event1 ]
day = 16 ; Day of the event [1-31]
month = 2 ; Month of the event [1-12]
name = Daytona 200 ; Name of the event
numberOfLaps = 50 ; Number of laps for the race session
trackDirectory = daytona_night_SBP_BR ; Directory for the track data
startingGrid = 43 ; Starting grid: grid_2x2_InLinePoleOnLeft

This is you basic template for tracks. Simply edit these. I suggest you use NASCAR.com or Jayski for the Schedule help. I suggest you copy/paste the template which is here:

[ Event ]
day = ; Day of the event [1-31]
month = ; Month of the event [1-12]
name = ; Name of the event
numberOfLaps = ; Number of laps for the race session
trackDirectory = ; Directory for the track data
startingGrid = ; Starting grid: grid_2x2_InLinePoleOnLeft

Simply put the track name like the one above, and no spaces in the track name, Underscore or theses: _

Its best to create a new file, as to keep the original and go from there. ALWAYS keep a back-up, never know when you make a mistake.

And there IS a limit in the number of tracks you can have in NR2K3. I think 72 is the limit. Thing is with every track you upload, you bump another out, Most used stay in, least used get kicked out.

If you need help, ask. Thought I share this since someone at NR2k3 tracks asked.
