SNYRA, do me a favor and check out Caanan Fair Speedway. I really think that you'd be closer to Danbury Fair with that one. Plus, the pits are already in the right place. Just would also need to widen out of racing surface a little.

Find it here: http://bigdonlinemotorsports.com/Downloads.html

If only the guy that built Canaan and Catamount would do an edit of one of those two tracks...............
Well I have long said J R is the king of New England short tracks his apprentice happened to do both of the tracks in question and has to say this: Catamount will not work with a t3 and t4 pit area. tried to do it already with Canaan. Canaan is the way to go if you want that pitting option.
With the proper reference material I would be wiling to do a retro fit to make the track work.

oh yea I am in this def Canaan. I don't think I will need to widen it, Just flatten 1 and 2, add a wall around it and change out some or a ton of 3dos,and add a top groove

Aaron, that main grandstand object from Nashville might be a perfect match for those covered grandstands at Danbury Fair. I'm sure we could find a single white armco texture for that wall around the track, too.

I've been collecting pictures of Danbury as I find good ones of the track and it's surroundings. Which reminds me, I also have a nice hi-res horizon that would also look good.

Another good thing is that the A.I. work would be minimal with Caanan as a base. It's basically all doing the detailing work. And you know that I'm always willing to help out on that.

Between SNYRA and me, I think we can provide enough pics and support for you to make this classic and historical New England track. This is a perfect project for you, who like me, is a nostalgia geek at heart. emoticon

All right, I'm getting exited. I'm going to get one of my kids to show me how to scan 20+ years of pictures into my computer just in case what I've linked to isn't enough. The resurrection of the late great Danbury fair race arena.

SNYRA, a day version will likely be done first. Then it's much easier to convert it into a night version. So, in the end you'll likely get both. But, let's let Aaron decide which direction he wants to go in first. emoticon

That's fine by me. At this point other than digging for my race arena reviews I feel like I'm just along for the ride. Probably better that way after looking at the N2 track I did. WOW was that bad! You're gonna need this site,

A shameless plug.

I had turned 22 in October of 77 when I helped Jake build this car that Bob Riley drove.
