Aaron, he mentioned earlier in this post that the banking was about 5 degrees in the corners.

SNYRA, I went back and put in links in all of your previous posts. Hope you don't mind, but I thought that it would make it easier for the readers.

That's fine by me. I'm really not all that computer savvy. But my math is pretty good!
And yes the banking was 5 degrees. Track width was 40? feet. This is still being HOTLY disputed. But the maximum legal car width was 84" tire bulge to tire bulge and they could run 3 wide. Until a 10-20 car pile up ensued. The 'grove' was 2 cars wide, 1 car width up from the bottom and one car width off the rail. Even the vid that I linked to showed that. If Randy Lajoie ever gets around to answering my E-mails I'll have a lot more info.
Is there any way to invert the start or does that require hacking the exe?

Inverting the starting order is not possible in NR2003, although it would be a nice feature.

Yes, it probably would be possible if you knew how to hack the exe, but that is not something we could do as that is not legally allowed.

Invert as in pole starts last?

That's possible offline with the Game Save Editor thing, save the event after qualifying, exit, load up GSE, select the saved race, reverse the grid, restart game, bingo grid is reversed with fastest at back.

You guys need a multi quote feature! Well thank you both. I did try inverting the starting grid through the text file. The moment the pace car began to move the car that qualified on the pole started passing everyone. It was funny to watch but not what I had in mind.

That will happen every time. What you can do is monkey with the driver stats. I have a demon car set that has all the faster aggressive drivers qualify poorly, and the slower drivers be great at qualifying. This way the start can occur normally but the faster cars immediately attack the slower cars (you do have to restrict the number of cars in the set so your fast cars don't get excluded from the race because of poor qualifying times).

It's great for testing tracks to look for weaknesses in LP files, curbs, grip levels, etc.

You just killed my second idea! I'd have to limit the car list to the number in the starting grid.

You can invert the field in Save Game Editor.

EDIT: Saw that Smiff beat me to that :P
