I have a lot more like this.

P.S. I'm 57 years old. I grew up with this track and got into racing because of it. I also grew up with the Lajoies.

The track it self was unique. 1/3 mile. Maybe 5 degrees banking. About 32 feet wide. 300 feet down the straight. Just as fast on the outside as it was on the inside.

If you've ever seen the movie Arther, the race track scene was filmed at the race arena. High point cars had to start in the rear and that made for some intense racing. I tried to invert the line up with N2k3 but that didn't work out to well.

After seeing the beautiful job done on Riverside, a place were I raced, I KNOW the race arena is possible.

The link for the track pics are broken, anyway of getting those active again please?

Lasheef's site tends to be a bit buggy every now and then. http://www.lasheefs.8k.com/pages/GVDanbury/gvdanbury1.html
I had a site that I lost when my hard drive crashed. When I find it again you'll be in heaven. The guy's dad was a photographer for the area auto racing news.

Re: Danbury race arena?

Okay thanks!! Any chance you can get me some close up shots of a few things, and then private message them to me please?

Turn 1 and Turn 4 Grandstands..

There is a little break in the track near turn 1, if I remember correctly it goes down a little slope, yes or no? Do you have any pictures of that?

Plus I have one shot of the flagger stand, do you think you might be able to dig up a couple of different views of that area.

Plus also the buildings behind pit road, clear colored pictures of those buildings?

And if anything of importance behind the backstretch..

Thanks

Dave
