I have re-done the entry and exit to pit road to be like it is at the real track, but that is about as far as I have gotten with it. We'll need a TON of reference photos of all of the new facilities, etc. that they have put in around the track so we can accurately detail out our version accordingly.

Right now I'm focusing all of my attention on finishing up Waterford Speedbowl (which has been far too long in production.) It's coming out great and I think you'll all agree that it will be worth the effort. emoticon

Re: PROJECT: SHORT TRACKS - Preview of Coming Attractions

Thanks for all of the great comments fellas. At this point I think that it might be important to offer a few words about our overall mission statement at PST.

PST primarily focuses on building and editing the short tracks that are run by the WMT, WSMT, MRS, ACT, PASS North and the old BGNN Tours. Occasionally we will venture out on other projects, but those tracks of the Northeast to Southeast are generally the ones we want to devote our attentions to. Our goal is to have all of the tracks that are on those respective schedules available for NR2003.

We also spend a lot of time "trying" to detail these tracks to look as close as possible to the real places and because they are highly detailed tracks that are rich in graphics and objects, they can put a mighty burden on some PC's.

It is also important to point out that this detailing process relies on the skills of some very talented guys in the PST group who create and model the track-specific objects that bring these tracks "to life". In addition, we also want to try to make the racing experience against the A.I. to be as good as the tracks look. Getting the A.I. to even work right on short tracks built under Butter's Rule is a challenge in and of itself. As a result, all of these factor into the equation as to why these projects can take a very long time from beginning to end.

Unfortunately, we do not take requests. The short track projects we choose do make are ones that have some personal meaning to each of us for various reasons. We can only hope that they will be some of the ones you are looking for too.

In closing we strive for the highest detail and quality possible in our tracks and we try not to release any project until it is fully tested. We hope that you'll find our short tracks to look and "feel" very realistic and we appreciate the patience and support you all have afforded us in these goals. emoticon

PROJECT: Short Track
(J.R. Franklin, Matt Gilson, Ian Smythe, Wayne Anderson, Carl Sundberg, Aaron Maynard, Dave Olejniczak)
