Modified Sounds

With all the great stuff happening with the Modifieds, such as the new paints and tracks. I was wondering if there were any plans on making a Whelen or SK sound pack. I was thinking about taking this on myself but not really sure where to start with it. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. As most of us from New England know when you hear the Thunder at the track it's being brought to you by the greatest drivers who live by the grace of god and 600 horsepower!

I have been searching for long and high to find a sound pack that duplicates that patented sound of the mighty modifieds. There is nothing in racing quite like it. They don't call 'em "Ground Pounders" for nothing. Almost every sound pack made for NR2003 lacks the "bottom end" and that awesome "backoff" sound when they enter the corners. I too, would love to see this sound pack come to be, Jim.

Our apologies for that dhenn. We've had a bunch of 2015 modifieds all ready to go over at GPD for quite some time now, but real life commitments and distractions have kept our guy from posting the update. Hopefully it won't be much longer before they will be out.

Thank you JR!! You know what I'm talking about. I currently drive a mini stock on the NorthEast Mini Stock Tour and I'm sponsored by George & Ken's Collision. The George in it is George Savary. I'm good friends with his son Danny (who owns the business now). Danny's Brother is Richard Savary. I was thinking of going to the shop sometime and recording some sound bytes from his car. Just not sure where to go after having them all.

Very cool, Jim. George is a living legend in Northeast modified circles!

Hey... maybe you could get Richard to strap a recording device onto his modified and get us some good sound samples. We'll also need some sounds from the grandstands as well. I'm pretty sure the only way you can get usable samples for a Whelen Modified NR2003 soundpack to work would be to record the sound when only one modified is on the track.... no other sounds than that or it will distort the samples.

If you can do that, I'll see what I can do on my end to find someone familiar with NR2003 engine packs to make the conversion to NR2003. I have a couple of guys in mind. emoticon

Thanks, man.

I don't want to hijack this thread anymore than we have, but the 1970's modifieds are being converted to the NR2003 platform and we have been discussing goals and a proposed deadline for possible completion. (... and sorry, but I'm sworn not to say anything more than that. emoticon )
